This air fryer broccoli recipe is simple and perfectly delicious! Get that perfectly crispy roasted broccoli taste in a fraction of the time by using an air fryer. You'll love it!
Wash and cut broccoli into spears, and add to mixing bowl.
Drizzle oil, salt, and pepper over broccoli, and stir to combine thoroughly.
Add to air fryer tray or basket in a single layer, and cook on "air fry" at 400F until crispy and edges are dark brown, but not burnt. (It takes 10 minutes in my air fryer, but results may vary depending on the brand and model you have.)
Optional: stir and flip the broccoli halfway through cooking for a more even roast. (It'll still be tasty if you don't, though!)
See note below if cooking from frozen.
Notes
To get great results using frozen broccoli:Lower temperature slightly to 375F, and cook for approximately 15 minutes instead of 10. (Keep an eye on it, as various air fryer brands and models will vary slightly in timing, etc.)This variation helps ensure the broccoli is all the way defrosted and has time to roast properly before the cooking time is done. (Trying to do it faster will likely result in uneven texture with some bites maximally crispy and some mushy and unpleasant.)Also, if using frozen broccoli, I definitely recommend stirring up and flipping the broccoli halfway through cooking to also help ensure even roasting.Fresh or frozen broccoli (and other veggies) both work great in an air fryer!
