Well, I’ve been somewhat absent from this space as of late. I have a good reason, I swear! I’ve just finished writing my very first e-cookbook (releasing October 21 – more details coming really soon!)
I’ve missed posting over the last month as much as usual, and I hope to get back into things slowly. Here are a bunch of links I’ve saved up for you.
Letter to my Empty Nester Self @ Home and Grace
Learning to Hold a Yell @ The Orange Rhino
11 Ways to Overcome the Dreary Weary Mama Blues @ Little Hearts Books
Let Me Hold Them For You @ Deeper Story
Chorizo Potatoes Au Gratin @ Food Renegade
By the way – it’s Thanksgiving weekend (which feels weird to me because it’s still quite beautiful weather where I am and I kind of completely missed September in the breakfast frenzy). Happy Thanksgiving! I’m thankful for my hubby’s lack of official job, which allowed me to get this book finished. Silver linings. We are just kind of detoxing from the frenetic pace of the last year and remembering what it’s like to be a family again while also attempting to figure out the whole paying-the-bills thing.
I haven’t been on instagram as much lately during the crazy book-writing days, but this is one of the few that I snapped… and entirely sums up the last month.
Thank the Lord for a second-hand cappuccino machine and a hubby that loves making lattes. Bless his little espresso-loving heart.
Sometimes I think to myself, “Self, did you make a big ginormous mistake in planting and nurturing a latte-addiction in your dear one’s life?” Then I think, “No, self, you did not. You did a very, very good thing. My cup overfloweth with foam, Amen and hallelujah, Jesus.”
